ALMOST 87 per cent of households in Subang Jaya have achieved a 100 per cent vaccination rate according to a recent online survey carried out by SJ ECHO, Subang Jaya’s Community News platform.
The 24-hours survey revealed that everyone in the 817 out of 944 households had either received a single dose or had completed their Covid-19 vaccination.
The whopping 86.5% vaccination rate revealed in the survey came as a pleasant surprise to ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng who urged residents and employers who had yet to sign up for the vaccination programme either for themselves or their workers to do so without delay.
The report revealed that 2,878 (84.7%) out of 3,400 individuals covered in the survey had either received a single dose or completed their vaccination.
“We need everyone in Subang Jaya to get vaccinated. Efforts had been ramped up to get everyone vaccinated be it through MySejahtera, Selvax and also the house-to-house vaccination programme for bedridden senior citizens or persons with disabilities.”
“No one should be left behind for the vaccination programme,” she said.
The survey identified two main reasons for households which had yet to be fully vaccinated. The main reason was children below the age of 18 who are yet to be eligible for vaccination while others reported that they were still awaiting their appointment to be vaccinated.
Three households reported that no vaccination had been done because they were unable to get an appointment or for personal reasons have refused to be vaccinated.
The survey also revealed that one in every 25 households had been infected by Covid-19. The information received revealed that 37 out 944 households had or were currently having occupants infected by Covid-19.
Thirty three households indicated that they had lost a loved one to Covid-19.
Head to the nearest vaccination to get your dose if you haven’t got your 1st appointment. There are walk-in vaccinations at PPVs now.
