On this bright National Day, let us sing,
Of peace and unity our hearts do bring.
From Tunku’s dream, our journey’s start,
A nation built with steadfast heart.
Gunung Tahan’s peaks touch the sky,
Majestic mountains that watch as we fly.
Paddy fields in Kedah, golden and green,
Feeding our people, a bountiful scene.
In tropical forests, dense and grand,
Rich resources bestowed upon our land.
Timber and flora, fauna so rare,
Nature’s gifts beyond compare.
We dine on nasi lemak, roti canai,
Satay, laksa, flavors that never die.
Each bite a testament to our blend,
Cultures united, a message we send.
Diverse religions, temples, mosques, and churches,
In harmony we pray, no soul left in lurches.
A tapestry of faiths, so rich and vast,
A future strong, built on our past.
Our shared history, a tale of old,
Challenges faced; stories told.
From struggles and trials, strength we’ve drawn,
In Malaysia’s spirit, a new dawn.
From bustling cities to tranquil shores,
Every corner of this country we adore.
Our spirit unbroken, our resolve clear,
A brighter tomorrow, year after year.
On this day, let’s raise our flag high,
With hearts full of gratitude, we’ll reach for the sky.
Thankful for peace, and the harmony we’ve found,
In this country, our beloved, forever bound.
Selamat Hari Merdeka, to one and all,
In unity and joy, we stand tall.
For this country, our land of harmony and grace,
A beacon of hope, for all to embrace.
