The Health Check Programme at Angsana USJ1 got off to a vibrant start last month, drawing in residents keen on keeping tabs on their well-being. Organised by MBSJ’s MPP Zon 4 in collaboration with the Subang Parliamentary Office, the event served up more than just basic health screenings.
Zon 4 councillor Kamarul Hisham and Subang MP Wong Chen made their rounds during the event, mingling with residents and lending their support to the initiative. Attendees had their blood glucose and pressure checked, and received basic health advice, proving that taking care of one’s health doesn’t have to be a chore.
But it wasn’t just about needles and readings. The event kept the energy upbeat with lucky draw giveaways and a colouring contest that kept the little ones entertained while their parents got screened.
Meanwhile, residents from the Angsana apartment blocks chipped in with a gotong-royong session, rolling up their sleeves to clean their surroundings and flush out their long-neglected drains. The combination of personal and environmental hygiene sent a clear message: community health starts both within and beyond our homes.
