USJ9 residents and visitors turned out in full force on August 31 for the Merdeka Bazaar, a community celebration filled with food, flavours and festive vibes.
Organised by the USJ9 Rukun Tetangga and Residents Association in collaboration with MBSJ MPP Zon 3, the lively bazaar featured more than 25 stalls offering a variety of mouth-watering delights alongside promotional booths selling plants, handicrafts and unique knick-knacks.
Food lovers were spoiled for choice with a spread of homemade favourites, from juicy burgers and fragrant nasi lemak to hearty nasi briyani and authentic Punjabi dishes. The event provided not just a culinary feast but also a chance for neighbours to mingle and soak in the patriotic spirit of Merdeka Day.
The bazaar was part of the community’s effort to bring residents together, support local vendors and mark the nation’s 68th year of independence with warmth and unity.
