‘Champions of the Lanes’ Promotes Inclusion Through Bowling

Lions Clubs International MD308 and Special Olympics Selangor hosted the “Champions of the Lanes” bowling tournament at Summit USJ, bringing together 60+ bowlers in 21 teams. Each team consisted of two youth with intellectual disabilities (ID) and one Lion or Leo.

MDCC Humanitarian Efforts and Alert, Lion Loy Kwee Keow, highlighted that the event provided ID youth an opportunity to compete on a national stage while raising awareness among Lions and Leos.

“This tournament fosters understanding, teamwork, and celebrates abilities,” Lion Loy said.

Participants traveled from across Malaysia to take part in the tournament, which was supported by sponsorship from Subang MP Wong Chen and Summit USJ Hotel.

The event was lively as players and families cheered each other on and displayed spectacular skills at their lanes.
