Classic Car Owners Treat Underprivileged Kids to a Merdeka Day Feast at Dorsett Grand Subang

IT was a Merdeka Day that will be remembered for a long time for 120 underprivileged children who were hosted and feted by classic car owners last month.

The 19th Classic Cars Charity Drive which took place at SS15 saw underprivileged children from various shelter homes and orang asli communities joining in the festivities with a lineup of games and activities that kept them laughing and enjoying themselves on the morning of August 31.

ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng flagged off the Merdeka Day ride for the kids who were driven around Subang jaya in classic cars before they proceeded to Dorsett Grand Subang for a sumptuous lunch.

Former Miss World Malaysia 2019 Alexis SueAnn also took some time off to join the event to mingle with the children. She also challenged the children with some quizzes and was delighted with the answers they gave.

The charity drive organising chairman Michael Sundram later presented donations to the respective homes, promising an event bigger event for the club’s 20th anniversary in 2024.
