SUBANG JAYA, April 30 2025: SUBANG Jaya’s much-awaited Klinik Kesihatan will be ready in 24 months, Subang MP Wong Chen said today.
“I am very happy to announce that after a more than a decade of campaigning for a public hospital in Subang, with six different federal health ministers, plus three years of postponement from when Khairy Jamaluddin was minister (he first approved the project in 2022), the Madani Government has finally delivered on this very important promise to the people of Subang!”
“In total and over a period of 12 years of campaigning as your MP, I asked 17 Parliamentary questions and did two special Kamar Khas hearings in Parliament on this matter. In addition, there were so many meetings with ministers and officials, lobbying and promoting the project,” he said.
Wong Chen thanked Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim for finally delivering this.
“I last spoke to him on this matter when he visited Mydin USJ1 just before Hari Raya. I asked him to expedite the matter and he has delivered.”
“The tender for the Kilinik Kesihatan Jenis 2 Subang (a “small” hospital that has the capacity to treat up to 800 patients a day) was awarded five days ago by JKR. The Ministry of Health updated my office yesterday, after more communications between the Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and myself,” he added.
Wong Chen also thanked Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the Minister of Works for handling the open tender process professionally and efficiently.
“The tender award has been given to Atlantas Construction Sdn Bhd. Essentially, this means that construction work will start as soon as next month. Thus, we will finally have a public hospital in about 24 months from now,” he said.
Deputy Minister of Works Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan who witnessed tender award ceremony reminded the contractor to complete the project according to the approved specifications; to complete it within the time period and also maintain the quality of work for the building.
