Five-Year-Old Falls to Her Death at IPD Subang Jaya Quarters

A 5-year-old girl fell to her death from her family home at the Subang Jaya Police District quarters in USJ8 earlier today.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat in a statement said investigations indicated the deceased fell from the 11th floor of the police quarters.

“Investigations at the scene of the incident did not indicate any foul play and the case has been classified as sudden death,” he said.

Wan Azlan said the incident unfolded at 1135am when the IPD Subang Jaya Command Centre received a call informing them that a child had fallen from the 11th floor of the police quarters.

“The deceased who is 4 years and 7 months old is the eldest of two siblings. Both parents are police officers who stay with the family at the quarters.”

“According to the mother, she was in the kitchen while her children were in the hall playing. She suddenly heard a loud bang from the back room door and tried to open it but it was locked,” he said, adding that the mother heard her daughter call out for help.

Wan Azlan said the mother proceeded to the adjoining room and looked out the window.

“The mother looked out the window and saw that her daughter had fallen down.”

“The child was confirmed dead by an officer from the Petaling Health Department. The body has been sent to Hospital Serdang for a post mortem,” he said.
