Free Ambulance Rides to SJMC for Subang Jaya Residents

Subang Jaya residents will now have better access to emergency care with the rollout of 80 complimentary ambulance rides to Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC), thanks to a new partnership between the hospital and the Subang Jaya Community Ambulance and Lifesaver Ambulance Services Sdn Bhd.

The initiative, which begins on August 1, 2025, is part of SJMC’s 40th anniversary celebration and will continue until all 80 free rides are used up.

The service is strictly for emergency transfers to SJMC’s Emergency Department and covers residents in PJS 7, 9, and 11; SS12 to SS19; and USJ1 to USJ22. General practitioner (GP) clinics in these areas may also contact the hotline to arrange transfers for patients requiring urgent medical attention.

SJMC’s 24-hour hotline (03-5639 1212) will serve as the main contact point for emergency calls and referrals.

“This initiative reflects our belief that quality healthcare must be accessible to all, especially in moments of urgent need,” said SJMC Chief Executive Officer Bryan Lin. “As we celebrate 40 years of care for our community, this partnership is our way of giving back to the people who have entrusted us with their health for decades.”

President of SJ Community Ambulance (Beacon), TH Teoh, said the collaboration builds on years of teamwork with SJMC in providing emergency response support. “The lives we’ve helped over the years inspire us to continue this essential work. We’re proud to support this community-focused effort,” he said.

The partnership underscores SJMC’s longstanding role in the community and its continued commitment to making timely, quality emergency care more accessible for residents in Subang Jaya.
