IT’S probably the first of its kind and it definitely won’t be the last – combining three major festivals together to celebrate in the community.
A little pinch of inspiration got the USJ9 Rukun Tetangga and Residents Association to come up with their Deepavali-Christmas-New Year celebrations early this year. A traditional Indian performance mesmerised the crowd while “Santa Claus” (who was clocking in some overtime in January) showed up to spread the Yuletide festivities.
Both Subang MP Wong Chen and ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng joined the gathering. Newly appointed MPP Zone 3 councilor Ken Chia was also given the opportunity to introduce himself to the community during the dinner event.
