HUAT MODE ACTIVATED! 5 LIONS + A “BABY” LION STEAL THE SHOW AT BANDAR SUNWAY GUAN DI TEMPLE

If there’s one thing Subangites know how to do, it’s throwing a massive, unforgettable party! As we reached the final leg of the Chinese New Year, the Bandar Sunway Guan Di Temple took the cake for hosting one of the most colourful events of the entire festive season.

Spectacular Lion Dance

The celebration kicked off with an absolute bang, featuring five adult Lions and one ridiculously adorable “baby” Lion. The troupe completely thrilled the crowd, dancing and prancing their way around the temple grounds during the grand launch. Naturally, attendees immediately whipped out their phones, flocking to the lions to snap the perfect festive photo memory.

Thrilling Cultural Performances

The crowd was treated to a spectacular showcase that kept everyone glued to the floor for over an hour. The energy was off the charts, featuring heart-thumping 24-season drums and mesmerising cultural dance performances. Temple Chairman Koay Teng Koon played the perfect host, making sure every detail from the lion leaps to the final dance step ran like clockwork.

Tossing to Good Fortune

What is a Chinese New Year celebration without some epic food and good fortune? At lunch, everyone gathered to lou sang their way to good health, prosperity, and happiness. To top it all off, the God of Prosperity himself walked around the venue, blessing the crowd and adding to the massive chorus of HENG, ONG, and HUAT AH echoing through the air.

A True Community Affair

The event was also graced by familiar local faces joining in on the festive cheer. Among the VIP guests present were Selangor Exco for Investment, Trade and Mobility Ng Sze Han, ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng, and MBSJ MPP Zon 1 councillor Ken Chia. It was a fantastic wrap-up to the season, once again highlighting the strong and lively community spirit of Subang Jaya.
