We have heard of how politicians promise to build a bridge to get votes even when there is no river. Our politicians promised to “Selamatkan Malaysia” but never mind, that is all water under the bridge.
What we would like from them though is to deliver basic things, like keeping our neighborhoods clean. USJ 1 has become synonymous with people dumping rubbish by the roadside. I enclose some “lovely photos”.
One of the residents is also using the neighbourhood roads to “store” his used/junk cars. He has turned the roads into a junk car graveyard. They are all over the area, especially along USJ 1/2A and USJ 1/2 which are used by residents for their daily walks and jogs.
We have complained and the authorities come to tow some of it away. Unfortunately, they are quickly replaced with new junk vehicles. It has been going on for years and years. Why is he able to get away with it? Is it because he has “connections”?
When YB Hannah Yeoh was our assemblyman, the roads would be retarred regularly. Nowadays, the roads are better known for potholes and uneven surfaces.
And how long more do we have to endure the eyesore outside Mydin/Giant? You people demolished a pedestrian bridge, dug up the road and gave us traffic problems.
But back to basics. Household garbage collection is quite efficient.
The issue here is garden refuse and things like old furniture and big household items. There will always be garden refuse to discard and there has to be better collection system and it would be good for those in charge to give it some serious thought.
No need to “Selamatkan Malaysia”. Just try to keep our neighbourhood clean.
