SHOPPERS at Mydin USJ1 and 26 other outlets in the Klang Valley were treated with “cooked-straight-from-the-pot” bubur lambuk when they dropped in to pick up their Hari Raya necessities at the end of March.
A total of 10,000 packs of bubur lambuk were prepared at Mydin USJ1 and distributed to the other outlets for immediate distribution to shoppers. At USJ1, 3,000 packs were given out to shoppers by Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd managing director Datuk Wira (Dr.) Haji Ameer Ali Mydin.
“Across the country, we have packed and distributed around 45,000 at all our Mydin outlets including Sabah and Sarawak. The packs are given to shoppers as our commitment to give back to the people.”
“This is an annual affair for us. This time around, we decided to have a central kitchen to cook up 10,000 packs at USJ1 and distributed to our branches in the Klang Valley,” he said, adding that preparations to cook the 22 pots of bubur lambuk started as early as 8.30am.
Ameer said he was humbled by the support from Subang Jaya. So many people showed up to shop and also to receive the bubur lambuk. Even the elderly in wheelchairs came forward to receive the bubur lambuk.”
“The smiles on their faces as they receive the packs is a sight money can never buy,” he added.
