SUBANG Jaya has a new Sports and Recreation Club and it is set to make waves across not only in Subang Jaya but also across the Klang Valley.
According to its protem chairman Christopher Elvin Joseph, the Greater Klang Valley Rockets Sports and Recreation Club was set up primarily to encourage youths as well as adults in Subang Jaya to try out new sports and hobbies.
“Who can join the club? Anyone can. You just have to be 18 years old and above to become a member. No membership fees will be charged but if we have sporting events, there might be some nominal charges for incidental costs,” he said.
According to Christopher, membership is open to anyone living in the Greater Klang Valley including Subang Jaya, Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Klang and even Shah Alam.
“Our maiden initiative will be to promote Pickleball as a sport for all ages. It is an easy sport for all ages to pick up.”
“By providing the platform to learn the basics of the game or casual social play, we would love to help you get involved in the sport,” he added.
Christopher added that the club will expand its reach into other forms of sports and recreation activities to provide choices and avenues for Klang Valley folks to learn about, participate and enjoy as an individual, among friends or even family members.
