ONE dragon and 10 lions came to live at a simple but colourful ceremony at Guan Di Temple Bandar Sunway last month.
The eye-dotting ceremony is a compulsory ritual to awaken the dragon and lion according to temple chairman Koay Teng Koon.
“The ceremony which is steeped in tradition welcomes the Year of the Rat. Sponsors who ‘adopted’ the dragon and lions were present to participate in the ceremony,” he said.
Once awoken, the dragon and lions livened up the whole temple grounds as they pranced and danced to the beat of drums and cymbals.
