SUBANG JAYA police believe they have solved a spate of burglaries in the district and also in the Klang Valley with the arrest of a man in Masai, Johor.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat a team from IPD Subang Jaya arrested the suspect in Masai, Johor on October 16 2023 after investigations into a house break-in at Goodyear Court 8 in USJ14 on August 31 2023.
“We arrested the suspect and seized items which we believe are his spoils from his spate of crimes.”
“The suspect has 17 criminal records and one drug related case. We believe we have solved several cases which took place in Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Kuala Langat and Klang with the arrest,” he said.
Wan Azlan said in the USJ14 case, the apartment owner returned home to find his grill gate open and the door knob damaged.
“The unit owner found several items missing in his home. The estimated losses from items and cash stolen amounted to RM3,500,” he added.
He said the case was being investigated under Sect 457 of the Penal Code for burglary and if found guilty, the suspect faces a jail term of 14 years, fine or the rotan.
