Pre-Dawn Fire Guts Popular Bak Kut Teh Shop in SS14

PATRONS of a popular Bak Kut Teh shop in SS14, Subang Jaya will have to wait for a bit for the owners to get their outlet back and running again after a pre-dawn fire gutted the shop.

Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Department station chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman said the 4am fire gutted and destroyed the whole shoplot (top and bottom floors) and also the top floor of the adjoining shoplot.

“We arrived at Jalan SS14/2A at 4.13am after we received a call about the fire. The effort to put out the fire was carried out by 30 personnel and engines from Subang Jaya, Serdang, Petaling Jaya, Kota Anggerik and Penchala.”

“Our efforts were carried out from the front and back of the shoplots,” he said.

Syed Shahril Anuar said a Aerial Ladder Platform was also mobilised to fight the fire from above.

No one was injured in the incident.
