Resident Gets Slapped with RM1,000 Compound for Illegal Dumping

A Subang Jaya resident who was recorded on video while in the act of dumping rubbish by the roadside in SS14 has been issued a compound of RM1,000 by the Subang Jaya City Council.

This follows our report on May 23 2023 “Now, Now Uncle..That’s Not the Place to Throw Your Rubbish” which showed the man unloading his rubbish from his 4WD onto the roadside.

In a media statement issued today, MBSJ said its enforcement team made a trace of the vehicle registration number of the 4WD which was visible in the video recording.

The resident was issued with a compound notice for RM1,000 for indiscriminately dumping rubbish by the roadside.

ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng thanked residents for playing their part in being the ears and eyes of the community.

“Well done, MBSJ. Thank you, residents, for reporting this to us. We all have a collective responsibility to keep our surroundings clean. Littering is a matter we take seriously.”

“I am glad that our New Mayor has demonstrated that he would not compromise on enforcement. Residents are encouraged to continue to be our eyes and ears,” she added.
