RM10,000 Pledge a Timely Boost for Senior Citizens Club Subang Jaya

A generous RM10,000 pledge by Subang MP Wong Chen has given the Senior Citizens Club Subang Jaya a much-needed financial boost to help cover repairs and maintenance at its community space.

The announcement came during the Club’s cheerful early June gathering, where close to 80 members came together to reconnect over light activities, shared laughter and a hearty slice of birthday cake. As the Club feted several birthday celebrants with goodies and good cheer, the real icing on the cake came in the form of Wong Chen’s timely offer of support.

The funds are expected to go towards repairing the clubhouse’s damaged ceiling and replacing its aging air-conditioning units—long-standing issues that have weighed heavily on the Club’s budget.

“We’re grateful for the MP’s support,” club president Oon Woo Ming said. “This pledge will go a long way in making the space more comfortable and safer for our members.”

For a Club that thrives on warmth, community spirit, and the occasional karaoke singalong, the RM10,000 lifeline means the year ahead looks cooler, cozier, and certainly more hopeful.
