The Subang Jaya Community Ambulance received a RM30,000 boost to help it continue providing medical emergency services in the township.
“If you are an individual or the owner of a business in Subang Jaya, step forward to help keep this invaluable service going. Make a monthly contribution.”
“If everyone in Subang Jaya pledges RM10 monthly towards the cause, we will be able to continue enjoying the services it provides in an emergency,” he said after handing the cheque for his pledge over.
Dorsett Grand Subang’s Area General Manager Datin Christina Toh in a separate occasion handed over RM10,000 to the Community Ambulance team.
The amount was from the hotel’s “Greener Me” bash campaign which kicked off in December last year in conjunction with Christmas. Hotel guests and members of the public could pledge RM10 to adopt a plant as part of the campaign.
Funds were channeled to the Subang Jaya Community Ambulance.
SJ Beacon president TH Teoh said the team was grateful for the financial assistance from both Wong Chen and Datin Christina.
“The RM30,000 is a good start but we are a long way from achieving our target to raise enough to keep the ambulance going for at least a year. If you find it in your heart to help, please donate.”
“Today’s we save someone’s life. Tomorrow it may be your life we save,” he said.
