THE Subang Jaya Community Youth Football League’s perseverance and determination to nurture young and talented football talents while engaging with families over the last 22 years has paid off.
Youth & Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh who was attending their event recently announced a contribution of RM50,000 to the leagues coffers; but with one condition – they must go and reach out to other young leagues and help them emulate the blueprint that has made SJCYFL a success.
“I want you to reach out and help other interested clubs or leagues across the country. Guide them and help them be like what you are today,” she said.
The SJCYFL is a volunteer-driven, community-based youth football league where “no one is paid and everyone plays!”
Also present at the event was Subang MP Wong Chen.
