CHILDREN should run out of a burning house and not attempt to put out the fire, Subang Jaya fire chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman said.
“Parents must teach their home alone children to immediately run out of the house if there’s a fire. They should not even try to fight the fire.”
Syed Shahril Anuar said it was important for house owners to do all they can to avoid overloading their electrical appliances and to always switch them off when not in use.
At the tail end of the initiative, residents got the chance to learn more about fire-extinguishers and how to use them in case of a fire.
