SS17 Police Station’s Waiting Area Just Got a 43-Inch TV Upgrade (Bye Bye, Rosak Screen)

Subang Jaya peeps waiting at SS17 police station now get a 43-inch TV so the wait feels less “alamak”

Let’s be real: waiting at a police station can feel like time slows down… a lot. But if you’re heading to the SS17 police station in Subang Jaya anytime soon, here’s a small upgrade that might make the wait a bit more bearable. There’s now a brand new 43-inch LCD TV in the waiting area.

The new set was presented by MBSJ MPP Zon 1 councillor Ken Chia and his committee members after the SS17 police station officer-in-charge, Inspector Mohd Nazril Halzar Abdul Wahab, shared feedback that the old TV unit was faulty (RIP, old screen).

And no, it’s not there so you can catch up on drama episodes while waiting (though… we understand). The screen is meant to help the police run clearer public service announcements, especially on crime prevention while the public waits to be served at the counter.

“We hope our contribution will help provide better screening of the police’s public service announcements on crime prevention at the station for members of the public while they wait for their turn to be served by the officers at the counter,” Ken said.

So the next time you’re at the station, at least you’ll have a bigger, clearer screen to watch and maybe even pick up a few safety tips while you’re at it. A small change, but hey, we’ll take any win that makes waiting less painful.
