THIRTEEN local churches across Subang Jaya got together and raised RM30,000 for the Subang Jaya Community Ambulance.
The contribution was handed over by Love Subang Pastors Fellowship chairperson Rev. Wong Yin Ming on Merdeka Day to the paramedics on duty. ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng witnessed the cheque ceremony.
The whopping RM30,000 was raised by Subang Jaya Assembly of God; Full Gospel Tabernacle; ACTS Church; Kingdom City; Faith Community Centre; Faith City Church; High Praise; Grace Evangelical Free Church; New Life Community Church; City Revival Church; World Harvest Church; Harvest Christian Centre; Empowered International Ministry and Pastor Ignatius.
“The Love Subang Pastors Fellowship (LSPF) responded to Subang Jaya Community Ambulance’s urgent appeal for funds with a generous contribution of RM30,000. Recognising the critical role the ambulance service plays in saving lives in the community, churches across Subang Jaya united in support of this worthy cause.”
“This contribution represents the shared commitment of our local churches to serve and assist those in need in Subang Jaya, regardless of their background,” Rev. Wong said.
She said the support of the ambulance service underscores their dedication to the well-being of the community.
“It has been a blessing to see churches come together for this vital cause in a spirit of love and service that transcends individual congregation,” Rev. Wong added.
Michelle who witnessed the cheque ceremony said, “Ambulance services are vital in ensuring timely responses during emergencies, and any one of us may find ourselves needing this critical service. I am deeply grateful to the churches and places of worship in Subang Jaya for their generous RM30,000 donation to our self-run community ambulance.”
“Their support exemplifies the spirit of unity and care that binds our community. By standing together and contributing to essential services like this, we ensure that help will always be available when it’s needed most. Thank you for making a profound impact on the lives of our residents,” Michelle added.
SJ Beacon (which operates the Community Ambulance) president TH Teoh who was present said the 67th Merdeka Day celebrations was made even more memorable with the generous support from the churches across Subang Jaya for the community ambulance.
“They (churches) answered our call for help to boost our financial capability to run this crucial service that saves lives across our neighbourhoods. For that, we are very grateful.”
“We hope others will follow suit. Together we can make a difference,” he said.
Earlier in August, the Lions Club of Subang Jaya (LCSJ), together with its twinning clubs, Lions Club of Taiwan Lungtan and Lions Club of Pearl of the Garden City, Guangdong, China, jointly donated RM15,000 to the Subang Jaya Community Ambulance. Turn to Page 8 for the full story.
