THE Subang Jaya Police District Hari Raya gathering was by far the biggest event in the neighbourhood last night.
It was a night when the cops led by Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat and his deputy Superintendent Mohd Fairus Jaafar let down their hair and dressed to the nines to celebrate Hari Raya with the community.
Police officers traded their road block barriers with stalls serving food and refreshments as invited guests and the community started arriving at 8pm.
The wide variety of food served at the stalls kept the crowd coming back for more to enjoy the roast lamb, lemang and rendang, ice-cream and more.
It was a night to celebrate for everyone and they were joined by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, Selangor Police Chief Deputy Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan and his deputy Deputy Comm Datuk S. Sasikala Devi, Subang Jaya Mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim, Subang MP Wong Chen, ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng.
The crowd swelled to almost 1,000 at its peak as residents from all corners of Subang Jaya enjoyed themselves in the sweltering heat of the cloudless night.
