If you’ve ever found yourself stuck at the infamous Subang Jaya roundabout, the one linking SS15, SS12, SS13, and SS14 you probably know the pain of inching forward for 20 minutes just to make a single turn. For years, this iconic traffic choke point has tested the patience of even the most zen drivers. But good news is finally in sight – major upgrades are on the way to untangle the jam once and for all!
A
The Jam We All Know Too Well
Morning commuters from USJ heading to SS12, afternoons filled with students and hospital visitors going to SJMC – everyone seems to merge at the same spot. The result? Massive gridlock every. single. day.
What’s Changing
How It’ll Work
The upgraded roundabout will feature three sets of traffic lights to regulate the flow and keep things moving efficiently. Vehicles from SS15 or USJ heading towards Bandar Sunway will only need to head towards SJMC first, make a U-turn there before the hospital, and then continue their journey. Alternatively, drivers can hop onto the existing flyovers to get to Sunway more directly.
The Big Picture
So, while there might be a few months of inconvenience along the way, come January 2027, daily commuters can expect a much smoother ride through one of Subang’s busiest junctions.
With this upcoming overhaul, residents can finally look forward to smoother commutes, fewer honking matches, and maybe even a few extra minutes of peace on the way to work.
Subang Jaya drivers, what do you think? Will this finally solve the roundabout jam once and for all?
