They Walk In When Others Shy Away

MEET the team who walk in when others shy away. They are fondly called Subang Jaya’s “virusbusters” mainly because they have taken on the task of disinfecting private and public spaces which had reported Covid-19 positive cases.

Led by Henry Oh from ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng’s office, the team which is made up of volunteers attends to requests from residents to have their homes sanitized especially after Covid-19 positive cases have been detected and reported.

The task is not easy. All volunteers have to be in full PPE and they carry almost 5 gallons of disinfectant solutions on their backpack as they go along disinfecting the inside of homes or corridors of flats and apartments.

Although drenched in sweat underneath the PPE and working in extremely humid conditions, the team is undeterred as they carry out sanitization work.

In the recent discovery of Covid-19 positive cases at the coffeeshops in USJ14, the team was immediately mobilized to assist in sanitising all three premises.
