TWO burglars who thought they could escape after looting a home in SS14 landed up in the arms of the law thanks to the swift reaction from Subang Jaya police earlier this afternoon.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said policemen on anti-crime patrols were alerted at 3.50pm of a house break-in by a resident in SS14.
“We immediately sent out teams to the location. The first team who arrived spotted the two suspects exiting the home towards a vehicle parked in front of the house.”
“The suspects tried to flee in the vehicle and the driver rammed his vehicle into a policeman who was on his motorcycle,” he said.
Wan Azlan said police officers shot at the vehicle and pursued the fleeing vehicle until the flyover along the New Pantai Expressway when the driver lost control.
“The two suspects were arrested without further incidence. The injured policeman has been sent to hospital,” he added.
According to Wan Azlan, the two suspects are being investigated under Seksyen 457 and Seksyen 307 of the Penal Code for burglary and attempted murder.
