USJ School Receives Gift of 74 Scientific Calculators

In support for underprivileged students, ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng donated 74 scientific calculators to SMK USJ 8. The donation aims to assist Form 5 students who cannot afford their own calculators as they prepare for their crucial SPM examinations.

These scientific calculators will be loaned to students in need, ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel in their exams. Once the examinations are over, the calculators will be returned to the school to be loaned out again to the next batch of students in need.

This initiative was kick started by the school’s Leo Club and their teacher advisor, Dr. Rammani Karupiah, who recognised the financial struggles faced by some students in obtaining essential educational resources.

Expressing gratitude for the generous donation, the school headmaster, Rozhan Zakaria, highlighted the significant impact it will have on the students of SMK USJ 8. With a sizable portion of B40 students, the school welcomes any assistance that can lighten the financial burden on its students.

Michelle said that her donation represents more than just tools for mathematical calculations; but it’s giving underprivileged students the opportunity to have a brighter future.
