Progress Picks Up Speed
This Jenis 2 Klinik Kesihatan – basically a mini-hospital – kicked off with land clearing last year after over a decade of delays, campaigns by six health ministers, and endless promises. Now, workers are hustling on the foundations, and Subang MP Wong Chen couldn’t hide his excitement. “I am happy to note that the foundation work for the hospital has been completed. From now on, the construction of structures will take place. I also understand that the overall construction is on schedule,” he shared.
MP Flags Oil Crisis Worry
Wong Chen stressed the project is on track for its 24-36 month timeline, potentially opening by 2028 to handle up to 800 patients daily. But with the ongoing oil crisis hitting supplies hard, he’s keeping a sharp eye: “I hope the current oil crisis will not negatively impact the schedule. When Parliament resits in June, I will request the latest updates from the Ministry of Health.” Smart move – no one wants more delays for this game-changer!
