USJ5 Residents Celebrate Merdeka Spirit with ‘Kampungku’ Gathering

The spirit of unity and patriotism came alive as the USJ5 Residents Association hosted its early Merdeka Day celebration, aptly themed “Kampungku”, bringing neighbours together for an evening of fellowship, food, and festivities.

Residents turned up in full force, filling the night air with laughter and camaraderie. The celebration wasn’t just about good company and good food – it was a heartfelt display of community spirit. Patriotism was palpable at every table as guests enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

Adding meaning to the occasion, the association presented RM2,000 to the Subang Jaya Community Ambulance and RM500 to Sekolah Agama Menengah Bestari, reinforcing its commitment to supporting essential services and education in the community.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng, Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, SS17 Fire and Rescue Department chief Muhammad Iskandar Zul Akbar Abdul Aziz, MPP Zon 4 councillor Kamarul Hisham, and MPP Zon 3 councillor Ken Chia.

The evening served as a reminder that Merdeka is not only about celebrating independence but also about fostering unity and giving back.
