When Two Parliaments Meet

WHAT happens when football teams from two Parliaments meet on the field?

Well, you can expect a well-fought game just like how it is in a real Parliament sitting at the Dewan Rakyat.

And that was exactly what we had when Parliament Malaysia’s team met with Parliament Subang’s team at Arena MBSJ in USJ5 last month.

The football friendly saw players from both sides trying to outwit, outplay and outrun one another to have a fantastic match in the sweltering heat of the afternoon.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Johari Abdul popped by to give support to his team while Subang MP Wong Chen headed straight for the field to play. Subang Jaya City Council Mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim and his deputy Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali; Subang Jaya OCP ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat and Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Department station chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman showed up to cheer the teams on.

The home team won 3-2 over the visitors.
