Young Hands Reach Out to Help OKU Families during RMCO

FIVE families with special needs family members in SS13 flats received young visitors from the Leo Club of SMK Subang Jaya last month.

The visitors brought with them dry groceries, detergent, face masks and fresh vegetables which were bought from funds raised to help the needy during the Recovery Movement Control Order.

The Leos even made special effort to buy fresh vegetables on the same day, much to the delight of the recipients. MPSJ Councillor Ken Chia, himself a former Leo, and SS13 flats community leader, Azlifuddin Azmin, who welcomed the Leos to SS13, were impressed with the maturity and thoughtfulness of the teenagers.

Lion YC Tan, from the Lions Club of Subang Jaya, accompanied the Leos to ensure that, parental consent, precautions and hygiene were maintained.

Form five students, Leo Club President Dinie Joshry bin Shaqeel and organising chairperson Leo Antonia Angele Michael, said they were elated from being able to carry out a meaningful project despite restrictions of the RMCO.
