RM2.47mil Worth of Drugs Seized in Subang Jaya Raid

THREE men were arrested in two separate drug raids carried by Bukit Aman’s CID team in Bukit Puchong on May 16 2023, successfully intercepting drugs worth RM 2,471,797 from reaching the market.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the raiding team also seized four vehicles, RM5,550 in cash and assets worth RM 375,550 on the apartment block in Bukit Puchong .

“In the first raid, the team detained a suspect in his 50s at the apartment elevator and found three packets containing 3,134 grams of what is suspected to be Syabu.”

“The team subsequently entered an apartment unit on the 7th floor and found 840 packets containing what is suspected to be Yaba pills 18,667 grams); 475 pieces of aluminium packs containing what is suspected to be Erimin 5 pills (1,344 grams); one translucent pack containing what is suspected to be Ecstasy pills (374gramms) and 26 packets of what is suspected to be Syabu (26,986 grams,” he said.

Wan Azlan said after interrogating the first suspect, the team raided another apartment unit on the 13th floor and recovered eight packs of what is suspected to be Ketamin (5,990 grams); 25 pieces of aluminium packs containing what is suspected to be Erimin 5 pills (71 grams) and another translucent pack containing what is suspected to be Syabu (18 grams).

“In a separate raid, the police team arrested two suspects at the same apartment block and found five packets of what is suspected to be Syabu (30.64 grams); one folded foil of what is suspected to be ganja (24.51 grams) and two packets containing 82 Yaba pills (23.53 grams).”

“Based on intelligence information, this syndicate has been distributing drugs in the Klang Valley since early this year,” he added.

Wan Azlan said the drugs seized could have been used by 272,633 drug addicts if it had gone undetected.

All three suspected tested positive for Methamphetamine.

“The first suspect had three prior criminal and one drug related record while the second suspect had seven drug related records and the third suspect had one criminal and 14 drug related records.”

“All three will be remanded until May 23 to assist in investigations under S.39B Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and also S.39A(2) of the same Act,” he said.
