OVER RM240,000 worth of drugs was seized in a raid conducted by Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Department in Bandar Sunway on Monday May 20 2019.
The haul comprised of 119 blocks of ganja weighing 121kg, according to Bukit Aman Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department director Deputy Comm Dato Kamarulzaman Mamat.
“Two men, 28 and 33 years old were arrested during the raid. We recovered the drugs worth RM243,000.”
“We also seized a Toyota Vios, a Yamaha motorcycle and RM1,150 in cash. This is estimated to be worth RM60,000,” he said during a press conference at IPD Subang Jaya. Also present were Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Risikin Satiman.
Kamarulzaman said both suspects have been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations.
The drugs are suspected to have been smuggled in from a neighbouring country for distribution locally.
