Up for grabs is the Sky Cabin, the highest bedroom in Fraser’s Hill for romantic getaways
Malaysians have diligently stayed at home for almost three months observing the SOPs to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. With the relaxation of the Movement Control Order which is now going into the Recovery phase, many are looking for a safe destination to take a break with the family for a few days. For those who are not planning to “balik kampung” there are many conducive destinations to pick and choose for some R&R.
Check out the new kid on the block in Fraser’s Hill – MCM Outdoor Centre. Now open to welcome guests, the latest family getaway destination in the heart of nature is ideal for a break in the outdoors while enjoying the cool climate in the highlands of Malaysia.
This privately owned accommodation venue offers activities to suit the whole family. It doesn’t matter if it is raining outside because at MCM there is still a huge range of activities inside as well as out.
This large Spanish styled villa previously built by Petronas is now privately owned under the umbrella of Stephen’s Place a well-known destination for Naturalists and photographers for the last 7 years. MCM however has a different direction and offers adventure filled activities for the whole family.
Guests can try their hand at fishing; our 120-foot long catch and release lake is stocked with giant Keli catfish, Jelawat, Lampam and Tilapia. Peacok Bass will be coming very soon. These species will give a game fishing feel for both young and old.
In addition to this there is also a large climbing boulder to climb, a Trampoline for bouncing exercise, Day/Night 9 hole Mini golf and even a 3D Archery range. Bows tuition and fishing equipment are supplied. There are even mountain bikes available for those adventurous guests wanting to have cycling exercise around the area. Another activity is Radio Controlled Crawling, 4wd vehicles are used to navigate across and around the off road course for guests to challenge their driving skills.
For those days when the weather is not so good and outdoor activities are out of the question there are a number of activities inside as well. There is Table Tennis, Snooker, various board games and the TV. For those wishing to have peace and quiet MCM offers an extensive library with books that will suite both young and old. There is even a quiet reading room to relax and read your selection.
Accommodation at MCM is 7 bedrooms in the main house, 5 of which are located upstairs and 2 are downstairs. The upstairs rooms are all very spacious floral themed suites complete with Queen Beds and up down bunk beds enough to sleep a family of 4.
The downstairs rooms are similar but have ramp access to enable physically impaired individuals to get around. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot showers.
Our restaurant can seat 32 individuals at any one time and will be open throughout the day post Covid-19. Our roof top garden also offers a pleasant open air feel with spectacular views, an ideal place for afternoon tea of course weather permitting.
One of the key features of this venue is our Sky Cabin, This tree house is built 16 feet in the air amongst the tree tops and is ideally suited for couples wanting a romantic getaway. The Sky Cabin is completely separated from the main building and offers privacy and exclusivity. The unique design puts it as the highest bedroom in Fraser’s Hill with the bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the main deck and the open-air lounge directly above. This is truly the ultimate experience for any couple.
