The Lunar New Year, in celebrating the Year of The Ox will soon descend upon us.  And with this, the universal wish would be to have a healthy and prosperous year for all.

At Dorsett Grand Subang, the culinary team at The Emperor Chinese Restaurant have curated a series of set menus that are not only suitable for in-dining when situation allows but are also ideally suited for those who are opting for #homecelebration with families and loved ones, the young and the elderly.

So, forget about waking up early to queue in the markets, or brave the crowds at supermarkets or even spend arduous moments in the kitchen.  Take a break and spend precious bonding time with family members and allow us to take over your kitchen space.

Check out the fabulous series of available takeaway menus and not forgetting of course, the traditional must-have Dish of Prosperity, to ‘lou hei, lou sang’ with loved ones.

For small families, opt for the CNY Set Menu A or B, a 5-course set meal inclusive of steamed rice, affordably priced at RM388 nett for 4 – 6 persons.

Menu A offers favourites such as ‘Sichuan’ hot and sour soup, deep-fried crispy fish with ‘Thai’ mango salad sauce, wokfried sea prawn with superior soya sauce, deep-fried crispy chicken with lemon sauce and stirfried black fungus with seasonal vegetables while Menu B features sweet corn soup with minced chicken, oil poached grouper fish fillet with soya sauce, roasted crispy chicken with Thai mango salad sauce, wokfried sea prawn with crispy oat and stirfried seasonal vegetable with garlic.  Available for takeaway only.

You may even wish to expand the feasting with one or two a-la-carte option such as Braised Duck with Dried Oyster, Sea Moss and Assorted Dried Seafood at RM230 nett; Wok-fried Sea Prawns with Superior Soya Sauce priced at RM63 nett per order; Stewed dried oyster with black mushroom, black moss and bean curd at RM108 nett per order and roasted crispy chicken at RM140 nett per bird and RM76 nett for ½ bird.  These takeaway a-la-carte options come with a 20% discount.

Complement your #homefeasting with your favourite choice of yee sang….from ‘Japanese’ style crispy fish skin with salmon or soft shell crab and Korean pear, each priced at RM188 nett per portion (6-10 persons) and RM68 nett per ½ portion (2-4 persons) to salmon and Korean pear; or jellyfish and fresh fruits priced at RM138 nett each (6-10 persons) and RM68 nett per ½ portion (2-4 persons).  Available for in-dining as well with regulated MoH guidelines and SoPs in place.

Also available for both takeaway and in-dining are 3 spectacular set menus ideal for 6 persons….for those seeking doses of prosperity, the symbolic 8-course Prosperity Set Menu is most ideally, priced at only RM688 nett while the 9-course Health Set Menu promises a Lunar New Year feast unlike any others.  Both sets are inclusive of the prosperity dish of Yee Sang and of course, the must-have desserts for a whole year of sweetness and happiness….double-boiled red dates with sweet peach resin and generous indulgence of deepfried Chinese New Year cake and Osmanthus jelly cake.  Enjoy 20% off these two set menus for takeaways.
