A mid-afternoon fire that broke out on the second floor of a USJ21 shoplot destroyed almost 80 per cent of the unit today.
SS17 Fire & Rescue Department chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman said two fire engines (one from Subang Jaya and another from Puchong) arrived at the scene at 4.10pm.
“The fire was contained quickly and initial assessment of the damage to the 30×80 sq feet unit is 80 per cent.”
“No casualties were reported,” he said.
Smoke could be seen billowing from a distance away. A video from a resident at Main Place captured the firemen in action.
