ADUN SJ Launches First-Aid Training Facility in USJ13

SUBANG Jaya now has a first-aid training facility that caters to providing classes on how to save lives in an emergency thanks to a RM20,000 grant from ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng.

The new facility in USJ13 can take in 20 participants at any one session to learn more about first-aid and also how to respond in a medical emergency.

Operated by Subang Jaya’s Community Ambulance team (SJ Beacon), the facility will work with local communities to raise awareness on the importance of equipping themselves with basic first-aid skills while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

“It is important for everyone in the community to learn first-aid as you will never know when you need it to save lives. This new facility will help us reach out to more residents in Subang Jaya to teach them how to be first-responders in a medical facility,” Michelle said.

SJ Beacon chairman TH Teoh said the new facility will also be made available to organize first-aid training classes by qualified instructors to train personnel from corporate bodies as well.
