The Doubles Open Carrom Championship organised by MBSJ MPP Zon 2 drew teams from MBSJ and other local councils, delivering a packed hall, intense matches and a strong community turnout. Team AMATTOS dominated the podium by taking both first and second place, while Team MBSJ finished third and Team VVIP/UZIR placed fourth.
Held as an open doubles tournament, the championship brought together players not only from MBSJ but also teams representing local councils from across the region. From the early rounds, teams fought through tightly contested games in a bid to reach the finals, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere throughout the day.
The championship saw Team AMATTOS emerge as the biggest winners, clinching both the top and second spot.
Team MBSJ secured third place, followed by Team VVIP/UZIR in fourth.
MPP Zon 2 councillor Ronald Tah said the event was aimed at encouraging the public to take part in healthy games and community activities.“The event was a success. The hall was full with teams pitting their skills to win the top spots,” he said.
