Annual Wesak Charity Sales Draws the Crowd

THOUSANDS made their way to the Wesak Charity Sales at Summit USJ last month to help raise funds for the Dharma Buddhist University and also to make offerings for the auspicious occasion.

The two-day affair had more than 100 booths selling a variety of vegetarian food, desserts, fruits, fresh vegetables, cookies and even apparels.

ADUN Kinrara Ng Sze Han who is also the Selangor Local Government, Public Transportation and New Village Development Exco who officiated the event joined the organisers from Summit Buddhist Vihara to pay respects at the special altars followed by a tour of the booths.

A blood donation drive and a Buddha bathing ceremony were also on-going during the two-day affair.
