CNY Cheer Charges Ahead: Councillor Ken Chia Brings Oranges, Red Packets, and Fixes to SS15 Wet Market!

With Chinese New Year vibes heating up and the Year of the Horse galloping our way, MBSJ MPP Zon 1 Councillor Ken Chia wasted no time charging into action at the lively SS15 wet market!

Bright and early this morning, Councillor Ken and his freshly formed MPP Residents Committee rolled up their sleeves and headed straight to the bustling SS15 wet market.

Armed with bags of juicy mandarin oranges, crisp red packets (from ADUN Subang Jaya’s office), and colorful auspicious decorations, they spread CNY cheer far and wide. Vendors flashing wide grins accepted the goodies, while shoppers paused their fresh produce hunts to join the festivities; laughter echoing amid the stalls as oranges symbolized prosperity and red packets promised good fortune.

But Ken didn’t stop at smiles and symbols. True to his energetic style, he strolled through the market, eyes sharp for improvements. Spotting longstanding issues neglected over the past two years; from maintenance hiccups to vendor concerns he wasted no time notifying the relevant authorities on the spot. “We’re galloping forward to make SS15 shine brighter than ever this CNY!” Ken beamed, embodying the year’s horse zodiac with unstoppable momentum.

Residents like Auntie Lim, a regular at the market, couldn’t hide her delight. “Wah, so early morning already got oranges and ang pow! Councillor Ken really care for us,” she shared, waving a festive decoration like a victory flag.

As CNY vibes build across Subang Jaya, Councillor Ken’s visit reminds us that community spirit is the best decoration of all. Here’s to a prosperous Year of the Horse – galloping into good times together!
