Senior members of the Fellowship of the Wise (FOW) at the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association (SJBA) walked away last month with more than just useful tips on keeping their teeth in good shape – they also received a dental health screening.
The session was organised to give members practical knowledge on oral health, an issue that becomes increasingly important with age.
FOW chairman Molly Chong said the programme aimed to equip members with a better understanding of how to care for their teeth and gums.
“Members also got a dental examination by qualified dental technicians from the Kelana Jaya Dental Clinic,” she said.
The check-up gave participants a chance to have their oral health assessed on the spot, while the dental team shared advice on everyday care, common problems to watch out for and when to seek professional treatment.
For many of the seniors, the session was a timely reminder that good oral health is not just about a bright smile – it plays a role in overall wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.
