In December 2021, we launched a community fundraising effort to help Zulfadzlee Shah Shaharuddin (“Zul”), who needed urgent medical treatment after being diagnosed with kidney cancer.
Zul, is a well-known figure in USJ, be it organising community events or helping to resolve issues.
The trustee, Lions Club of Subang Jaya collected RM38,000 in donations, and handed it over to Zul.
“I am forever grateful to the donors for helping me in my time of need. The RM38,000 raised and contributions from my family and friends has helped cover my medical expenses”, said Zul. Medical expenses are expected to be in the region of RM50,000.
ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng said, “I am very proud of our community for rallying to help Zul. To the individual donors, neighbourhood associations, Rukun Tetanggas, NGOs and corporations who came forward, a big thank you”.
Zul’s surgery was carried out in December and he is now recovering at home.
