FIREMEN from the SS17 Fire and Rescue Department successfully doused a blazing car along Persiaran Kewajipan-New Pantai Expressway roundabout after it was engulfed in flames right after an accident at 4am this morning.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) station chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman said a distress call was received at 4.19am and a team was dispatched to the location immediately.

“When we arrived, the 22-year-old driver of the Honda CRV had managed to get out of the car with the help of passersby.”

“He sustained light injuries to his hand. The vehicle was destroyed in the incident. The driver also lost his identification documents in the fire,” he said.

Syed Shahril said the driver was handed to the police for further investigations.
