GOOD YEAR COURT 2 RESIDENTS GET HANDY TIPS ON FIRE PREVENTION FROM BOMBA SUBANG JAYA

FIRE IS A FRIEND AND FOE. That’s the message residents of Good Year Court 2 in USJ6 took home from Subang Jaya’s Fire and Rescue Department chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman recently.

According to Syed Shahrul, measures to deter fire from breaking out in homes was the most important for every household. But if in the eventuality of a fire, residents old and young must know what to do to save lives and property.

“Having a fire extinguisher in every home is crucial. It is also important that members of the family also learn how to use one.”

“If it’s a small fire, with the help of an extinguisher you can put it out. But if the fire is too big, get out of the house and call for help,” he said during a fire-fighting awareness program with residents organised by MBSJ MPP Zon 4.

At the finale of the program, residents were given the opportunity to learn on proper handling of a fire extinguisher and how to effectively put out a fire.

The program is part of MPP Zon 4’s “Pangsapuri Angkat” phase for Good Year Court 6 this term.
