SS18 residents have embarked on a pilot project to engage paid security patrols in efforts to make their neighbourhood safer.
With about 1,300 houses in the SS18 neighbourhood to watch over, the Residents Association has combined efforts with the four Kawasan Rukun Tetangga units (SS18/1; SS18/2; SS18/3 & SS18/4) to come up with a plan to engage a security services company for round-the-clock crime prevention patrols.
The Residents Association will foot the bill for August while residents who sign up for the program will start paying RM50 for September and October during the trial period.
If you are a resident of SS18 and wish to support this effort, get in touch with your representatives in the Residents Association or Rukun Tetangga.
