If you thought Subang Jaya traffic couldn’t get any worse, a helicopter on a trailer proved otherwise.
Police have confirmed they are investigating a viral video showing a long trailer lorry transporting a helicopter that ended up blocking traffic along Persiaran Kewajipan, causing a massive jam and disrupting other road users including an ambulance .
The clip, which made the rounds on TikTok, was reported to police on December 12, but investigations revealed the actual incident happened earlier, on December 4 at about 4.30pm. According to Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the problem began when the trailer attempted to exit from the KESAS Highway but failed to clear the slip road due to the excessive length of its load .
In simpler terms: the helicopter was going places — just not forward.
The oversized cargo caused traffic to grind to a halt, inconveniencing motorists and drawing sharp reactions online, where netizens questioned how such a transport was allowed onto busy public roads without adequate planning.
Police say the vehicle’s registration number has yet to be identified, and the case is now being investigated under Rule 9(2) of LN 166/59, which governs the movement of oversized vehicles on public roads .
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the lorry or the incident to contact Inspector Mohd Azizul Hakim Roslan from the Subang Jaya Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department at 011-28914495. Police have assured that all informants’ identities will remain confidential.
While helicopters are designed to avoid traffic altogether, this one unfortunately became part of it — proving once again that in Klang Valley, even aircraft aren’t immune to rush hour.
