HUNDREDS showed up for the Malaysia Day celebrations at the Subang Jaya Municipal Council grounds last month, expressing their patriotism and solidarity as a nation.
Ride for Autism was the first event of the morning with several hundred cyclists joining the initiative which took them around Subang Jaya for a fundraising drive. All proceeds from the event will be channeled to people with special needs.
The 30km ride was flagged off by Subang MP Wong Chen, ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng and MPSJ president Noraini Roslan.
Right after the cyclists were flagged off, a smaller but just as enthusiastic crowd took off on a 2km walk to celebrate the special day. The walk took them around the outer ring of USJ5.
