JOM DURIAN MAKES A COMEBACK IN JUNE

SUBANG JAYA’s “JOM DURIAN-We Ate for Charity” annual event is back!

After four years of absence, this ever popular charity event which allows you to eat-all-you-can in one-hour is already getting the die-hard fans excited.

Even before the official announcement, fans and supporters of Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia have already started pestering the organisers to allow them to pre-book their tickets.

Jom Durian 13 will be co-organised and hosted at Sunway Pyramid on June 22 and 23.

Corporate tables are now open for booking at RM10,000 or RM5,000 for 10 persons per table for June 22. You will get to enjoy Musang King durians till you drop. Bookings are now open for corporate tables. WHATSAPP your enquiry and bookings to Lee at 012 205 5861 or Teoh at 012-328 8557 to secure your spot.

For the public sessions which will take place on June 23, each ticket will be priced at RM50. This will entitle the ticket holder to eat-all-you-can for one-hour. Purchase of tickets will commence in May.

Jom Durian 13 is a charity fundraising event to raise much needed funds for CWS Malaysia to continue fulfilling wishes of terminally ill children across the country.

CWS Malaysia president TH Teoh said the last Jom Durian was in 2019.

“Due to the pandemic, we had to put off hosting the event over the last few years. But our work to fulfil wishes continued throughout the pandemic and we are so happy that we could do so even with all the travel restrictions during those challenging years.”

“Jom Durian is primarily to raise the funds the society needs to carry out its work. We work with doctors and nurses in government hospitals across the country who help us identify children who have a wish to be fulfilled. It may be a gadget, a toy, go somewhere or sometimes to meet their favourite personality,” he said.

Teoh said the event was popular because supporters could enjoy a good time indulging in durians while knowing that their contribution will help bring a smile to an ailing child.
